Fair Opportunity: FAR 16.505(b) (1) provides that each contractor shall be given fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding $10,000 and issued under multiple-award contracts. The FAR states that the method to obtain fair opportunity is at the discretion of the CO and that the CO must document the rationale for placement and price of each order. The SEWP VI online RFI/RFQ tool is the recommended method to assist in this activity and to augment the required decision documentation. The SEWP VI RFI/RFQ tool will automatically include the Contract Holders within a selected Group or based on a suggested source.
Scope: SEWP VI is a $20 Billion Dollar multi-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) fixed-price, IDIQ vehicle focused on IT products and product-based services. SEWP VI offers a wide range of advanced technology including servers; network equipment; storage systems; security tools; software products; cloud-based services; video conferencing systems and other IT and Audio-Visual products. Product-based services such as installation, training, maintenance, and warranty are also available through SEWP VI.

Multi-Award GWAC Identification
NASA SEWP VI (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement), pronounced “soup,” provides information technology, communications, and audio-visual (ITC/AV) services to federal agencies and their approved contractors. Created in 1993, SEWP VI I was the first Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in the federal acquisition space. The program is self-funded through a usage fee of 0.34% and supports more than 50,000 orders a year.
